The problems plaguing the Pathaan never seem to cease. It all started with Deepika Padukone, wearing a “saffron” bikini and getting grabbed by a Muslim guy, Shah Rukh Khan. Censor Board ordered many edits that displayed side postures and buttocks after nationwide protests and vandalism at a mall in Ahmedabad. But now the Bajrang Dal has threatened to disrupt the premiere of Siddharth Anand’s directing debut.
To begin, it’s still unfortunate that a film originally intended for amusement reasons has been co-opted for political ends. At a recent event, Shah Rukh Khan expressed confidence in the moviegoers by expressing that he is confident in the film’s ability to be a financial success despite the criticism it has received. However, if it is banned in certain areas of the nation, that will never happen.
Times Now claims Bajrang Dal has made a public threat to halt the distribution of Pathaan in Gujarat. Members of the group had already caused a commotion in other shopping centres around the state, and there were several demonstrations taking place at the time. They’ve taken matters into their own hands rather than following the Censor Board’s directives.
In response to the latest issue surrounding Pathaan, KRK released, “The film has already become a disaster before the release only, then why #BajrangDal does need to oppose it?”

KRK also recommended that Shah Rukh Khan modify the film’s title so that it wouldn’t bomb at the box office.
He had tweeted, “SRK is still having chance to change #Pathaan Name to #BholeNath or #VinodBaba to save it at the box office. Hope he will leave his Zidd to save the name of #AdiChopra also who has given 5 disasters before Pathaan”
