They’ve been together for almost three years, but KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have been dating for longer. They just got married and they are quite active on social media sharing photos of themselves together.
According to a recent report by Pinkvilla, KL Rahul and Shetty have found a flat to share in Mumbai. It’s a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom apartment on Carter Road with a view of the ocean, and the monthly rent is Rs 10 lakh. The average cost of a one-bedroom apartment on Carter Road is Rs 64,767 per square foot, according to the real estate website housing.com.
Shetty’s father, the actor Suniel Shetty, was seen recently at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, rooting for KL Rahul in an Indian Premier League match. The Hera Pheri actor sported the Lucknow Super Giants’ official team shirt; his daughter’s fiance is the team’s captain.
Shetty has previously told ETimes that he and his wife do not object to their children dating anybody. KL Rahul and Shetty reportedly met in 2018 via mutual acquaintances, and early rumours of them dating arose in 2019.
In 2015, Shetty made her first appearance in a Bollywood film with Sooraj Pancholi in Hero. She also co-starred with Arjun and Anil Kapoor in the 2017 comedy film Mubarakan, and she most recently co-starred with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film Motichoor Chaknachoor.
Earlier this year, KL Rahul signed with the Lucknow Super Giants for a staggering Rs 17 crore. The batsman’s form over the previous several IPL seasons has been spectacular; he ranked second in run scoring in 2019, first in run scoring in 2020, and third in run scoring in 2018.
