Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who has been romantically linked with Shikhar Pahariya for some time, has refrained from publicly acknowledging their relationship until now. However, during the screening of ‘Maidaan’ on Tuesday, she made a bold statement by accessorizing with a necklace adorned with his name.
Janhvi Kapoor graced the screening of her father Boney Kapoor’s film ‘Maidaan’ on April 9, drawing attention with her choice of jewelry – a necklace featuring the name ‘Shiku’. This marked the first instance of Janhvi openly acknowledging her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya.
At the Mumbai screening, Janhvi Kapoor dazzled in an all-white ensemble, complemented by loose hair and matching heels.
Yet, it was the personalized necklace that sparked intrigue among fans. As a paparazzo shared footage from the event, fans were quick to notice and comment on Janhvi’s accessory choice.
Prior to watching ‘Maidaan’, Janhvi posed for photos alongside her father Boney and actor-brother Arjun Kapoor. While Arjun opted for an all-black ensemble, Boney Kapoor donned a blue kurta for the occasion.
During an episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ last year, Janhvi inadvertently referred to Shikhar as ‘Shiku’ when asked about her speed dial contacts. Despite Janhvi’s slip-up, Shikhar often expresses his affection for her on social media, including a birthday post in March featuring a picture of them together at the Eiffel Tower.
Although Janhvi has now publicly acknowledged her relationship with Shikhar, her father Boney Kapoor had previously confirmed it in an interview. He expressed his fondness for Shikhar and emphasized his integral role in their lives.
Boney Kapoor’s ‘Maidaan’, starring Ajay Devgn, is set to hit theaters on April 11.
