Swara Bhasker is now married. Yes, you read that right. The actress tied the knot with political activist Fahad Ahmad today. She broke the news on Twitter on Thursday evening.
The Veere Di Wedding actress posted a video showcasing their love story and including a compilation of all their wonderful moments. She revealed that she legally got married on January 6, 2023, under the Special Marriage Act.
In case you don’t know, Fahad Ahmad is the Maharashtra Unit President of the Samajwadi Party youth wing, according to his Twitter profile.
She shared a video and wrote,
” Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours.”

The video starts off with a story of how Swara and Fahad first connected at a political protest in January 2020, followed by their first picture together. The clip further depicts several photos of the pair, as well as their pet cat named Ghalib. The pictures from their court wedding are shown at the end, and Swara and Fahad can be seen hugging each other on January 6, 2023, when they filed their paperwork in court, where the couple legally wed and started a new and most beautiful chapter of their lives together.
Earlier, Swara Bhasker left her followers surprised with an Instagram post. The actress posted a photo of herself with her head curled up in someone’s arms. Her caption read, “This could be love.”
