Even though we saw the images of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding a bit late, the wait was well worth it. The images from their wedding seem like something out of a storybook. For the first time ever, the two appeared on film together in Shershaah, and the experience changed both of their lives forever. The first public appearances of the newlyweds Sidharth and Kiara are beautiful.
Sidharth recently discussed the real-life parallels between his and Kiara’s romance and the one depicted in their film.
Sidharth said,
“It felt like the real Vikram and Dimple, in some parallel universe, came together. Shershaah has given me so much love and a wife too, so what else do you need from a film? (laughs) I think it was meant to be. Much like us, Vishal Batra (Vikram Batra’s win brother) was extremely emotional and happy when he came to our wedding.” Kiara was asked about her radiant glow post-marriage, and she said, “The glow is real. This new life is wonderful. I’m very happy.”
Shershaah, for those who are unaware, is a biographical war film based on the life of Vikram Batra, a martyr from the Kargil War. As also, the film chronicled Batra’s romance with Kiara’s character, Dimple Cheema. The movie is now available on Amazon Prime Video, an online video service. While their romance was left unresolved in the movie, fans can all agree that it was resolved in real life.
As his real-life romance with Kiara is deeply intertwined with the plot of the film Shershaah, Sidharth was awarded the prize for Best Actor, Popular Choice, at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards.
Speaking of it, Sid said,
“I’ve been here for only ten years. Shershaah will always remain a very special film to me. Through the film, the reel has turned into reality. It’s an unforgettable film and experience, and I’m grateful to Captain Vikram Batra’s family for trusting us and to the audience for giving us that love, both onscreen and off-screen, today.” Happy to have receive his award from Vishal Batra, Sidharth continued, “I’m so close to the Batra family. We met on so many occasions. Our love for Captain Batra lingers on.”
Nevertheless, Kiara Advani, who starred in many successful films that year, including Shershaah, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jugjugg Jeeyo, and Govinda Naam Mera, was named the year’s Star of the Year.
For his career, Sidharth Malhotra has the release of Yodha and the premiere of his Indian Police Force web series on the calendar for this year. Simultaneously, Kiara will star with Kartik Aaryan in Satyaprem Ki Katha. On June 29th, 2023, this is set to be made available.
