Recently, an Israeli filmmaker and a jury chief at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Nadav Lapid created outrage when he addressed The Kashmir Files ‘vulgar, propoganda’ movie and said that everyone in the jury was disturbed and shocked. Lapid’s ridiculous remarks received a lot of criticism from the entire film fraternity, the cast, and the director of The Kashmir Files. His comments received a lot of backlashes from across the nation.

Lead actor of The Kashmir Files Anupam Kher gave a strong reaction against Lapid’s comment in an interview with ANI. He said,
“Everyone has their own opinions on anything they see and perceive …. But one can’t deny the fact is that The Kashmir files is a film which has depicted the actual plight of Kashmiri pandit community… who are still fighting for justice against the brutal acts of terrorism… so this film is not on vulgarity but the n reality.”
Vivek Agnihotri
Vivek Agnihotri, the director of the movie is yet to speak anything directly about Navad Lapid’s comment but he shared a cryptic tweet. He wrote,

Israeli Envoy, Naor Gilon
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon apologized to Indian authorities for Lapid’s insensitive comments.
Taking to Twitter he wrote,
“My suggestion. As you vocally did in the past, feel free to use the liberty to sound your criticism of what you dislike in Israel but no need to reflect your frustration on other countries. I’m not sure that you have enough factual basis to make such comparisons. I know I don’t.”

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit tweeted,
