Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) was launched on Friday in presence of many prominent names from across the globe. Named India’s first-of-its-kind multi-disciplinary cultural and art space, the NMACC aims to strengthen India’s infrastructure in culture and arts.
In an official statement shared by NMACC, Nita Mukesh Ambani, the founder and chairperson of the cultural center said,
“An ode to our nation, the Cultural Centre aims to preserve and promote Indian arts. I hope our spaces nurture and inspire talent, bringing together communities from across India and the globe.”
Located in Mumbai (Bandra Kurla Complex), NMACC is a 4-story art house that is spread across 52,627 square feet and has a diamond-studded ceiling, a theatre with a seating capacity of 2000, and many other features. Check out some more details of the newly inaugurated cultural center.

Overcoming the expectations of everyone, the Ambanis have left no stone turned in creating a cultural center with international standards. From curating a space with three huge and lavish theatres to integrating state-of-the-art technology, the extravagant interior of the NMACC indeed offers an unbeatable and memorable experience.
– The Grand Theatre with Swarovski diamonds ceiling
Designed by the global firm, Theatre Projects Consultants, the Grand Theatre is equipped with the best acoustic system available in the whole world. As per NMACC’s official website, the Grand Theatre also has an orchestra pit for 80 musicians to perform at the same time. In addition to the 2000 seats, there are 18 separate boxes designed for a better viewing experience. However, the highlight of the Grand Theatre is the 8,400 Swarovski diamonds on the ceiling.
– The Studio Theatre
A separate space for special performances, the Studio Theatre is designed with a telescopic seating system (offering 250 seats) to accommodate the artists’ needs. From top-notch integrated Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System to other modern amenities like soundproofing, video recording and more, the Studio Theatre serves as an ideal destination for performing arts events.
– The Cube
The Cube offers an excellent venue for hosting, experimenting with, and presenting theatrical performances, with a seating capacity of 125 and a movable stage. To explore new frontiers in performance, the venue is equipped with advanced features, including a Panasonic Laser projection system, 5G connectivity, a Listening system, and video recording, making it possible to live-stream performances.
Isha Ambani’s Valentino Wedding Reception Lehenga
Apart from the priceless art collections, the NMACC also exhibited Isha Ambani’s golden lehenga, which was crafted by the renowned Italian designer Maison Valentino. Isha Ambani wore this lehenga on her wedding reception in 2018, and it is the only lehenga ever created by the distinguished international brand. Maison Valentino went so far as to release a statement declaring that they would not produce another lehenga in the future.
The iconic Kamal Kunj & other artworks
The Art House is a space solely dedicated to exhibiting the artwork of Indian and international artists, including Jagannath Panda, Tanya Goel, and a massive 56-foot Pichwai painting. A wide range of public art is showcased here, including Kamal Kunj, Yayoi Kusama’s Clouds, Seekers Paradise, Earth’s Whisper, and numerous other notable pieces.

NMACC, designed by the renowned architect Richard Gluckman, who is famous for designing exceptional spaces like the Mori Art Museum, the Andy Warhol Museum, and the Musée Picasso, boasts state-of-the-art technology such as the Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System, a telescopic seating system, and other advanced features. Zendaya’s expensive saree
On the second day of NMACC’s inauguration, the renowned Hollywood actress Zendaya, who is acclaimed for her work in Euphoria, Dune, and the Spider-Man movie series, made a grand entrance. The 26-year-old star turned heads in a stunning royal blue sequined saree, designed by Rahul Mishra. As reported by DNA, Zendaya’s complete look for the event was estimated to be around Rs 9 lakh. While the saree and blouse were priced at approximately Rs 4 lakh, the Hollywood sensation completed her look with Bulgari accessories, which were priced at over Rs 4 lakh.
