Just 24 hours after marrying herself, Sofi decided to proceed with her divorce after one day of spending time in her own company. At the time of her announcement, Sofi said,

Netizens had given her mixed reactions. While some supported her move, others believed it was all a stunt to grab attention. Even though Sofi received support from many of her followers, who understood and backed her decision, just after a day of marriage, the solo bride announced that her divorce was impending on February 21.
