Compared to other modes of transportation, air travel is not only convenient but also unparalleled in terms of catering, it also makes us feel affluent and exceptional. However, this mode is quite expensive though but worth it as well.
That’s why many people prefer traveling by air over other modes of transport. However, there are times when it may not seem like the most comfortable mode of transportation because of certain bad incidents that people go experience. Especially if other passengers depict inappropriate behavior, our expensive travel experience might turn into a nightmare within minutes.
Recently, a similar incident happened when one passenger got indulged in a heated argument with a flight crew member on an indigo flight. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms, with people reacting to it and giving their opinions.
While one group is taking the flight crew’s side, others are taking the passenger’s side.

On social media, a video of an altercation between a passenger and a member of the Indigo flight staff has gone viral. The heated fight reportedly occurred over food on the airline’s journey from Istanbul to Delhi.
In the video, a conflict between an airline hostess and a customer may be seen. The crew member claims that the guest was rude to the employees, causing one of them to cry.
This is how the annoyed Indigo air hostess reacted,
The flight hostess said to the passenger:
You are pointing finger at me and yelling at me. My crew is crying because of you. Please try to understand, there is a cart, and counted meals are uplifted (on the plane). We can only serve what you boarding…
Before she could finish, the passenger asked,
Why are you yelling?
The air hostess responds by raising her voice and saying,
Because you are shouting at us
The passenger and the air hostess continue shouting at each other despite other crew members’ attempts to mediate and calm them down.
Later, the air hostess tells the passenger,
I am sorry but you cannot talk to the crew like that. I am peacefully listening to you with all due respect but you have to respect the crew as well
The air hostess again emphasizes the pointing fingers as the guy asks,
Where have I disrespected the crew?
The guy yells,
Shut up
The air hostess responds,
You shut up!
She added that since she works for the firm, he is not allowed to treat her in such a way.
She again emphasized that she is an employee in response to the man’s claim that she is a servant. She said,
I am not your servant
The altercation somehow comes to rest, and the coworker of the air hostess leads her to the back of the aircraft.
Later on, IndiGo released an official statement regarding the whole fiasco. They said,
We are aware of the incident that took place on flight 6E 12 from Istanbul to Delhi on December 16, 2022. The issue was related to meals chosen by certain passengers traveling via a codeshare connection. IndiGo is cognizant of the needs of its customers and it is our constant endeavor to provide a courteous and hassle-free experience to our customers. We are looking into the incident and would like to assure you that customers’ comfort has always been our top priority. We are committed to providing the best experience at all times
The airline claimed that when the passenger requested a sandwich, the crew informed him that they would see if it was an option for the trip. However, the man began yelling at the flight attendant, which caused her to start sobbing.
The video is now doing the rounds on the internet. While some people praised the hard work of the IndiGo crew, others claimed to have noticed a developing arrogance among the crew members.
