January 10 will be marked as one of the best days of 2023 for Indian cricket admirers as Virat Kohli’s century-scoring form is back after he scored his consecutive 100 in the first ODI against Sri Lanka in Guwahati.
King Kohli smashed a hundred in his previous ODI game against Bangladesh as well and on Tuesday, he came up with another knock that helped India put up a total of 373 runs on the board. India’s former skipper’s catch got dropped two times when he was on 52 and 81.
Star players Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave an astonishing start to India as the opening went on to score 143 runs together. Both the batsmen scored half-centuries each.
Along with the millions of fans, former West Indies legend Brian Lara was also eager to watch Virat Kohli bat in Guwahati.
Brian Lara took to Instagram and shared a picture of Virat Kohli on his story and wrote “I think I will wait to watch this man bat!!”. When King Kohli smashed his 73rd international ton, Lara shared another story with #morningrun.
The West Indies legendry cricketer was very happy and delighted to watch Kohli complete his century against Sri Lanka.
Indian cricket team restricted Sri Lanka from going past the finishing line as the men-in-blues defeated the Dasun Shanka-led side by 67 runs. Even though the visitor’s captain scored a century but that went in vain as the Indian bowlers didn’t let them reach the target.
