Renowned Indian Actress Kajal Aggarwal who has featured in Bollywood films such as Singham, and Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, and Special 26, recently voiced their opinion that the Hindi film industry lacks “ethics” and got brutally trolled by the netizens online.
At a recent News18 event, the actress discussed the North-South debate and other topics. Expressing her opinions, Kajal stated that a lot of actors want to start their journey in the Hindi industry because the majority of people speak the Hindi language, making it a nationally recognized language. She added that the South industry is quite “friendly” and “accepting.”
Moreover, she praised the South Indian film industry, emphasizing that it has fantastic technicians, “wonderful” directors, and “phenomenal” content that has been created in all four languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Kajal also mentioned that Hindi is her mother tongue and that she grew up watching Hindi movies. She acknowledged that the Hindi cinema has accepted her and treated her kindly.
However, the actress went on to say that the “ecosystem,” “ethics,” “values,” and “discipline” of the South are preferable because she feels that these qualities are lacking in Hindi cinema.
When asked which industry she wanted to return to after she decided to resume work post giving birth to a baby, she said that she was born and raised in Mumbai; however, she started her acting career in Hyderabad, and all her major work is in Tamil and Telugu movies.
She stated that she has done only a few Hindi films but gets the feeling of being at home only in Hyderabad and Chennai.
Soon after her remarks came, the actress got trolled by the netizens for her statements.
