Yami Gautam’s acclaimed political thriller, “Article 370,” has encountered a setback as it gets prohibited in several Gulf countries. Despite its widespread success both domestically and internationally, particularly for its nuanced exploration of socio-political dynamics, the film now confronts restrictions in these regions.
Set against the backdrop of the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, as granted under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, the movie delves into complex narratives of autonomy and governance.
The reason for the ban of Article 370 in Gulf countries by the authorities remains undisclosed. Earlier this year, Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, faced a similar prohibition in the Gulf nations.
Yami Gautam, essaying the role of intelligence officer Zooni Haksar, expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for acknowledging the film during his address in Jammu.

When we were making ‘Article 370’, so many people told us that this film won’t work with the audience, ‘it’s too technical, too many political jargons etc etc’. But we went ahead with our gut because we knew those naysayers were underestimating our audience. Thank you all for… pic.twitter.com/ZL14Ect6G2
