The most anticipated movie starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in lead roles “Liger” was released yesterday.
The sports action film is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh and revolves around the story of an aspiring kickboxer (Vijay) who overcomes all the obstacles to achieve his dreams.
Ananya Panday plays Deverakonda’s love interest in the film.
Liger is produced by Dharma Productions and Puri jagannadh collectively and is shot in both Hindu and Telugu languages.
Apart from Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, the other actors that starred in the film are Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, and Makarand Deshpande. American boxer Mike Tyson also made a special appearance in the film.

Vijay Deverakonda – Rs 35 crore
Vijay Deverakonda will be seen playing the lead role of an aspiring Kickboxer. Reportedly, the actor underwent an intense dramatic physical transformation for his role and also made a trip to Thailand for martial arts training. As per News18, Vijay Deverakonda has been paid Rs 35 crore for the film.
Ananya Panday – Rs 3 crore
Ananya Panday will be seen playing Deverakonda’s love interest in the film. According to a News18 report, Panday is said to have been paid Rs 3 crore for her role in Liger.
Ronit Roy – Rs 1.5 crore
Nothing is known about the character that is played by Ronit Roy in Liger. But as per ABP, the actor has been paid Rs 1.5 crore for the same. Over three decades, Roy has appeared in several movies and television shows and has been awarded a Filmfare.
Ramya Krishnan – Rs 1 crore
Ramya Krishnan essayed Vijay Deverakonda’s mother in the film, and as per ABP and News18, she has been paid Rs 1 crore for her role. The Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion actress has worked in more than 250 films in different languages.
Vishu Reddy – Rs 60 lakh
Winner of the Mr. South India pageant in 2009, model-actor Vishu Reddy has been paid Rs 60 lakh for Liger. Reddy has worked in a few Telugu films in the past.
Makarand Deshpande – Rs 40 lakh
Actor, the writer, and director Makarand Deshpande, who had worked in supporting roles in films like Sarfarosh and Swades, has been paid Rs 40 lakh for Liger.
