The release of SS Rajamouli’s grandiose project RRR was accompanied by a plethora of records broken, and the film has managed to remain in the news ever since. The song “Naatu Naatu” from the movie won the Best Original Song award at the 95th Academy Awards, and the entire RRR team is ecstatic about it.
The team members, including the director and lead actors, attended the event in Los Angeles, but it has been reported that the Academy did not provide free passes for them to watch the event live from the ceremony hall.
As per multiple reports, only Chandrabose and a family member, as well as Keeravani and his wife, were given free passes. According to the rules, only the awardee and one family member are provided with a free pass, while others must pay for their tickets to watch the event live.
To watch the event, director SS Rajamouli purchased tickets for himself and other important team members at a cost of USD 25,000, or approximately Rs. 20.6L per person. Rajamouli opted for the last row of the hall, taking into account the cost of the tickets.
Present in the ceremony hall were SS Rajamouli, Rama Rajamouli, Kartikeya and his wife, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Upasana. The song “Naatu Naatu,” composed by MM Keeravani, is the first Indian language song to win the Best Original Song Oscar.
