A humorous incident unfolded when a Gujarati man, intending to drop his wife at the station, found himself unexpectedly locked inside the Vande Bharat Express with her. His initial intention was merely to assist his wife with her luggage, but the automatic doors closed, leaving him ensnared on the moving train alongside his wife.
The woman, originally scheduled to travel alone, ended up enjoying the company of her affectionate husband, courtesy of the automatic doors of the Vande Bharat Express.
Their daughter Kosha took to social media to share the comical tale of her parents’ impromptu “premium journey” aboard the Vande Bharat Express.
Recounting the entire incident, Kosha narrated,
“Today, my mother embarked on her maiden journey on the Vande Bharat from Vadodara to Mumbai to visit me. Given the extended stay, she had packed two sizable bags for the trip.”
My mother is travelling for the first time in Vande Bharat from Vadodara to Mumbai today to visit me. As it is going to be a longer stay, she had two big bags to travel with. (1/4)

She continued,
“Naturally, when my mom was ready to depart, dad woke up and drove the car to drop her off at the station. Upon the train’s arrival, like any doting husband, he attended to the luggage, ensuring it was neatly arranged near the seats for my mom’s comfort. It was precisely at this moment that the automatic doors beeped, and before my dad could react, he found himself locked INSIDE the train, which promptly commenced its journey! He swiftly sought out the ticket collector and pleaded to halt the train for his disembarkation, but alas, it was too late; the train had gained momentum.”
She added with amusement,
“So now, both my parents are experiencing their inaugural journey on the Vande Bharat — my mom bound for Mumbai and my dad, up to the subsequent station, Surat, clad in his night attire, searching for a return ticket to Vadodara, with our car parked somewhere near the Vadodara railway station 😂🤣.”
Naturally once my mom got ready, dad woke up & took the car out to drop her off on the station. When the train arrived, like every other Indian man, he took the luggage & settled it well near the seats so that mom can sit comfortably. (2/4)

Certainly, many people joined the conversation, recounting their personal experiences with the automated doors, demonstrating the frequency of such occurrences.
