Actor and comedian Krushna Abhishek has announced that his sister, Arti Singh, known for her appearance on Bigg Boss 13 and as a TV actress, is getting married to her boyfriend, Dipak Chauhan. The couple have been dating for a year now. Krushna expressed his desire for their uncle, Govinda, to attend the wedding, despite their strained relationship over the years.
Krushna Abhishek On Govinda Attending His Sister Arti’s wedding
Krushna Abhishek confirmed Arti Singh’s marriage news during the launch event of the 10th season of ‘OMG! Yeh Mera India’. Krushna mentioned to a leading daily that the initial wedding invitation would be extended to Govinda and his wife Sunita. He also mentioned that Govinda, his estranged uncle, will definitely attend the wedding.
He explained, “Arre sabse pehla invite unko he jaayega. (Of course, the first invitation will go to him). He’s my mama. We have had a few disagreements that are a separate issue, but the first wedding card will go to him and he will definitely attend the wedding.”
The discord between Krushna Abhishek and Govinda traces back to 2016 when tensions escalated after Govinda chose to promote his film ‘Jagga Jasoos’ on Kapil Sharma’s show instead of Krushna’s ‘Comedy Nights Live’. This decision sparked a rift between the two, leading to a public fallout.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Govinda’s wife Sunita expressed frustration when questioned about Krushna and Arti. She dismissed their claims made on a previous show, suggesting that they weren’t truthful. She said:
“Please don’t ask about them. Because whatever they spoke on your show was not the truth, that’s why I am getting irritated. He will never say anything to them. Now, I repent that why did I take care of them.”
Krushna and his wife Kashmera have previously addressed their strained relationship with Govinda, shedding light on the ongoing discord between the families.
