While south movies like RRR, KGF Chapter 2, and others received positive feedback, much-anticipated movies like Laal Singh Chaddha, Liger, Dhaakad, and others brutally failed at the box office.
Only a few Hindi movies like Brahmastra, The Kashmir Files, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 performed well in terms of collection.

Laal Singh Chaddha
This Amir Khan starrer was one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. However, it couldn’t perform well. The movie was an official Hindi adaption of the Hollywood Blockbuster The Forrest Gump”. The movie got heavily impacted by boycott calls on social media. The movie was made on the budget of 180 crores and collected less than 130 crores WORLDWIDE.
Dhaakad
The Queen actress Kangana Ranaut was seen in a spy-thriller action flick named Dhaakad. Unfortunately, the movie turned out to be the biggest disaster of this year. The movie collected only 2 crores and was made on budget of 85 crores.
Samrat Prithviraj
Akshay Kumar’s historical period drama faced a lot of backlash on social media. The movie was again 3rd flop in a row starring Akshay Kumar and managed to collect 90 crores even though it was made on the budget of 150 crores.
Liger
This movie marks the debut of south superstar Vijay Devarakonda’s debut in Bollywood. However, it got brutally trolled on numerous social media platforms as it failed to impress viewers and the audience. The movie was made on a budget ranging from 90 to 125 crore and collected 60 crores at the box office.
Radhey Shyam
This Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer failed to impress the audience and turned out to be the biggest disaster of 2022. The movie accumulated losses of more than 85 crores.
Bachchan Paandey
2022 was definitely not good for Akshay Kumar as none of his films performed well at the box office. His Bachchan Paandey also incurred heavy losses as the movie was made on budget of more than 125 crores and managed to collect less than 70 crores.
