Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh were once celebrated as one of television’s beloved couples. They met on the set of the TV show “Kya Dil Mein Hai” and eventually married in 2012 after years of dating. The couple welcomed their daughter, Ayra Ali, via surrogacy in 2018. However, they separated two years later and finalized their divorce in 2021, with Sanjeeda gaining custody of Ayra.
Aamir Ali’s Reaction
In an interview with News18, Aamir Ali responded to Sanjeeda Shaikh’s recent comments about having a demotivating partner. He expressed doubt that Sanjeeda was referring to him, noting that they have been apart for almost five years. Aamir suggested that Sanjeeda might have experienced such feelings after their separation, saying:
“Not everything that she and I say about one another is about us. We have not been together for nearly five years now. She must have gone through something like that in that period, I guess.”
Aamir Ali on Not Publicizing Personal Issues
Aamir emphasized that despite going through a difficult phase during their separation, he prefers not to discuss personal matters publicly. He stated:
“Ours is an old story now which is over. I know what I went through in that separation period and what happened to me. But washing dirty linen in public is not my class. I’ve never put anyone down and I never will, especially who I have shared a relationship with.”
Sanjeeda Shaikh’s Perspective
Previously, in an interview with Hauterrfly, Sanjeeda Shaikh discussed her divorce and expressed gratitude for her experiences. She mentioned that some men try to demotivate women, suggesting it’s better to stay away from such individuals. She shared:
“There are men, and there are partners who try to demotivate you, who tell you that you can’t do anything. Or they will say you will not be able to do this. It’s better to be away from such people. There are phases in every relationship where you are happy, and then there are some when you are not, and then you take a call for your life and that’s what I did for myself, because I started loving myself and I started prioritizing myself and that is very, very important.”
In a joint interview with Hindustan Times in 2016, Sanjeeda noted changes in Aamir after their marriage. She mentioned that although Aamir wasn’t very expressive, she helped him become more vocal, emphasizing that for her, romance is about spending quality time together.
