After the massive success of Shark Tank India season 1, this week saw the premiere of the new season of the famous Indian Business Show. Five episodes have already aired now. In this short span of time, this new season has effectively sparked debates and arguments about offers, comments, and pitches made by the sharks on social media.
Fans were eagerly waiting for season 2 and now they feel that the makers are exaggerating the drama compared to the previous season.
While many people on social media are of opinion that discovering entrepreneurs and encouraging the next generation to establish businesses is a commendable thing, others feel that Season 2 is focusing on just increasing TRP involving emotions and relationships.
In the most recent episodes, a handful of the sharks turned down a cosmetics company’s pitch because it would have clashed with a company owned by Shark Vineeta Singh of Sugar Cosmetics.
The episodes have been infuriating the netizens and the show is being discussed over the internet.
Some fans even compared Shark Tank India 2 to other reality shows, including Indian Idol, which is known for its extra drama.
Season 1 judges Ghazal Alagh (co-founder of Mamaearth) and Ashneer Grover (co-founder of BharatPe) are not returning for Shark Tank India Season 2.
With his witty reply and often nasty one-liners and straightforwardness Ashneer Grover became a fan favorite and meme staple in the first season.
For the second season of Shark Tannk India, Amit Jain, co-founder of Cardekho, has joined the sharks.
CEOs Vineeta Singh of SUGAR Cosmetics, Aman Gupta of boAt, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, Anupam Mittal of Shadi.com, and Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals will all stay on.

Shark Tank India 2 is quickly turning into a cringe reality tv show.
Also, it is an excellent embodiment of how privilege, entitlement, and pretentiousness work in India.
I would instead recommend Raiser’s Edge by @TheBarberShopwS. Way better than ST and has zero drama.
