In April, ElonMusk had to postpone a planned visit to India due to significant obligations with Tesla. He had been scheduled to visit on April 21 and 22 and meet with Prime Minister Modi. He reassured his commitment to visiting India later in the year, stating, ”
Unfortunately, very heavy Tesla obligations require that the visit to India be delayed, but I do very much look forward to visiting later this year,”
in another post on X.
Elon Musk previously met with PM Modi in the US last June, where he expressed optimism about Tesla entering the Indian market soon, alongside his other venture, Starlink. Tesla is expected to establish a manufacturing unit in India and make substantial investments. Last year, the company sought reduced import duties from the Indian government to facilitate vehicle imports into the country.
