There hasn’t been a single day in 2022 in which Elon Musk didn’t make headlines. The billionaire is in limelight again and the reason is quite weird. Recently, Elon Musk furnished the headquarters of the social media giant with beds as a “gift” for the team members of Twitter.
According to reports, when Twitter employees showed up for work on Monday, they were surprised to find that their San Francisco headquarters had bedrooms. Well, this kinda makes sense as Musk made it clear that only “hardcore” Twitter employees be allowed to stay in the company.
Moreover, during the early stages of the firm, Elon was even spotted dozing off on the floor of the Tesla and SpaceX factories. However, sleeping at the office for rocket launches is a whole different thing and it will be weird for employees to spend the night in the offices of a social networking app.
Each floor probably has between 4 and 8 sleeping pods. One of the employees claimed it was rude to have mattresses in the office.
He said,
“There was no discussion; the beds just appeared.”
The Forbes article obviously didn’t disclose the identity of the employee.
Lately, Elon Musk made sure that nobody was visiting the Twitter offices before he acquired the company. The twitter owner has made up his mind to fundamentally alter the workplace environment as part of his effort to construct Twitter 2.0.
According to reports, Twitter had a popular and renowned workplace culture that grabbed massive criticism when young employees posted videos that went viral on TikTok showing what a typical day in their lives looked like.
The decision of adding beds in the workplace was appreciated by another employee who was mentioned in the Forbes article.
The employee opinionized that since many people already worked late hours, it only makes sense to have bedrooms where they may at least relax for a while. The modifications in the Business model of Twitter are Elon’s prominent obstacle. It is evident that the world’s richest person is desperate to make Twitter more profitable so let’s see what strategies he implements.
