Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan has taken a hilarious dig at the social media content creators who have been creating memes featuring her. In a sarcastic tone, she suggested that if they want to use her name or picture to get more attention, they should do it more professionally and skillfully.
Mrs. Bachchan Took A Dig At Content Creators
Well, if you have been living under the rock, Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has returned with the second season of her superhit podcast, “What the Hell Navya.”
In the first episode of Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast, “What The Hell Navya Season 2,” she chatted openly with her mom, Shweta Bachchan, and grandmother Jaya Bachchan. They talked about different stereotypes associated with women in an open and casual manner.
During the show, Jaya asked Navya Nanda, “What do you want to do actually I want to know?” Navya responded, “That’s a deep question. What do you mean? We do multiple things. No one is anymore doing one thing. Young people have something called like a side hustle. It’s like a job, a 9-5 job. It could be any job.”
She added, “But while you do that job you also have something on the side that you are doing.” Jaya said, “I do (side hustle)…I provide meals for some of the people who do my memes.”
Jaya Bachchan Reacts To The Term “Jaya-Ing”
Further, in the show, Navya discussed a new term called ‘Jaya-ing’ that people often use on social media. She explained this term to her grandmother. “There’s a term coined after your meme, it’s called ‘Jaya-ing,’” Navya shared. Shweta chimed in, asking, “When you’re extra salty, is it Jaya-ing?” Jaya responded, “It’s not in a very complimentary way, but it’s ok.”
Navya explained, “It means like you can say what you feel like and not care. So you’re Jaya-ing.” She then asked Jaya, “How do you feel about being a pop culture phenomenon?” Jaya replied, “I don’t mind people making fun of you or laughing at you. I don’t mind, but the people doing the memes are so bad, they should do it properly.” Navya suggested, “You should teach them,” to which Jaya responded, “Why should I teach them?”
Speaking of Navya Nanda, even though she hasn’t entered the film industry, she is involved in various endeavors. As an entrepreneur, she leads an initiative called Project Naveli, focusing on addressing gender disparity in India.
