Despite society moving forward by leaps and bounds through science and technology, the mindset of most of the people is still stuck in the dark ages who believe that slut-shaming, body-shaming, and fat-shaming is completely normal.
Haplessly, with the advent of social media that has brought out the celebrities much closer to us, there are trolls who love to subject the stars to unchecked mockery, trying to establish themselves as cool customers.
It is quite comprehensive that one would always like to keep oneself fit through various exercise and fitness drills, but it doesn’t ennoble us with the right to body-shame or slut-shame someone. In a recent incident, comedian Sumukhi Suresh took out a troll who had a previous history of infamously trolling celebrities under the pretense of a cute girl.
A user named ‘lily_was_a_little_gurl’ posted, “Why don’t you fucking lose some weight girl!!!!” Keeping her sense of humour intact, Sumukhi issued a resonant riposte that will keep her mouth shut for yores to arrive.
Following is the tweet of Sumukhi that was followed by a spate of followers who deluged her with ample support.
Spread the word pls? pic.twitter.com/qeTd8FH7qa

The supporters ensured the fact that they also come to the aid of the comedian and a few even asked that why would she bother herself with the thought of the same and not block those stupid people.
After you lose weight, you will be asked to look more fairer. So, there's no end to it. You answer these peeps doing just the opposite. Say you are eating the best chocolate sundae which she can never think about in her dreams. Enjoy life not looks.

Please ignore the idiots. If it was me I would have said, “I make many people laugh and that’s a tough job. Have you ever tried to make at least one person smile? Try that and then we can discuss weight”

Body shaming is literally the worst thing ever! It can demean a person till the point they want nothing else in life than to be according to the societal notions of perfect body shape ! Literally seen it, admitting got obsessed in the past! But I just wanna be fit & healthy now!

Dear sumukhi,

It is an unfortunate sight to witness such practices still managing to rear their ugly head despite society claiming the fact that they have been socially advanced in many aspects. Unless these deeply trenched evils are rooted out from the minds of people, society would never advance by the face value of the words that they like to spout.
