Bisleri is one of the biggest corporations in India
Recent reports relating to Bisleri suggest that Tata Consumer Products Limited may buy the brand at Rs 7,000 crore. However, the deal hasn’t been finalized yet with Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL).
The Tata Group firm also revealed that it is in discussion with Bisleri International, for the growth of the business and the company.
When Ramesh Chauhan, the Chairman of Bisleri International was asked about the viral reports he said,
“It’s not correct… We are still discussing.”
In a media statement, Bisleri International Spokesperson stated,
“We are currently in discussion and cannot disclose further.”
The company registered a profit of Rs 100 crore in 2020 and Rs 95 crore in 2021 when the country faced the lockdown due to the pandemic.
Moreover, it is rumored that in the financial year 2023, Bisleri is expected to make a profit of Rs 220 crore.
Why is Ramesh Chauhan planning to sell Bisleri?
Ramesh Chauhan was born in 1940 and is 83 years old at present. As he is getting old and there is no one to take care of the company. The businessman stated that his daughter Jayanti Chauhan is not interested in the Bisleri business. Reportedly, the reign of the company will be given to the company that takes over Bisleri till then the ongoing management will continue for two years.
Ramesh clearly stated that he won’t even keep a minority stake in the business and that he is planning to use the money for plastic recycling, water harvesting, and charity.

Jayanti Chauhan is the only child of the magnate. She joined the company when she was merely 24 years old. Jayanti Chauhan is 37 years old at present. She did a product development course from Los Angeles’ Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). She is also associated with fashion styling and photography.
Jayanti is also a graduate of Arabic from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She loves traveling and is an animal lover. As of now, she is the vice-chairman of the company. She is popularly known as JRC. She played a prominent role in the company’s automation. For better results and growth of the company she also restructured the HR, Sales, and Marketing departments. She took charge of the Mumbai office in 2011.
Jayanti is also responsible for streamlining the operations for Bisleri Mineral Water, and the luxury segment (Vedica Natural Mineral Water from the Himalayas), Fizzy Fruit Drinks, and Bisleri Hand Purifier.
She is also interested in Digital Marketing and provides key insights into the marketing and branding of the company. Ms. Chauhan is a major part of advertising and communication development at Bisleri. Bisleri’s new brand image and expanding portfolio are all because of her.
