One of the most popular rappers in the Hindi film industry, Badshah recently faced massive backlash for his new song Sanak. Even though, the song quickly became popular among hip-hop fans in India, the senior priest of Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district reportedly took objection to it.
As per a report of an Indian Express, the senior priest complained that the rapper took Lord Shiva’s name in the song along with other obscene words. The objectionable language in the lyrics hurt religious sentiments as the priest asked Badshah to remove obscene parts of the song and apologies for it.
Responding to this incident, Badshah took to his Instagram to apologize for Sanak. He stated that he would never offend anyone ‘willingly or unknowingly’. However, in light of the backlash, he has decided to change the lyrics of the song.
”I have taken proactive measures to change some parts of the song and actioned the replacement with this new version on all digital platforms to further avoid hurting anyone,”

he wrote in the letter.
He also asked the fans to be patient as the updated version will take a few days to reflect on all platforms.
”I humbly offer my sincerest apologies to those whom I may have unknowingly hurt,” Badshah concluded in his letter.
