Academic Background of Divyenndu
The actor seemed to have very less interest in his studies and as a result of it, he managed to score only 49% in High School but later on, he managed to score 84% in 12th which was really shocking for him as well.
Mr. Sharma later graduated in Political Science from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University.

Divyenndu was fascinated by acting since he was a child, and he was an active participant in cultural events and other activities.
Beginning of career in acting
Munna Bhaiya was really very fond of mimicking actors. It became his hobby, and later on, his sister asked him to be serious about acting and take it as a career option. Listening to her sister and following his passion he took admission into Diploma acting course at FTII, Pune.
Following his passion, he started grooming himself for multiple auditions, and eventually, he became a part of a theatre group called ‘Players’ for 3 years.

He started acting in commercials for Birla Sun Life, Virgin Mobile, and Fidelity Mutual Funds.
Struggled to get prominent roles
Like every other actor who is not a product of nepotism, he struggled a lot and also faced numerous rejections. To live in Mumbai with not much work he used to have a very tight budget moreover he only spent Rs 32 per day on food to meet his budget.
Played a small role in Madhuri Dixit’s Aja Nachle
Before his official debut in Bollywood, he played a small unrecognizable role in Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Aaja Nach Le’ in 2007.
Got More recognizable roles in superhit films
Divyendu’s first major break was in Luv Ranjan’s ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ in the role of Liquid. The movie was a major break for a chocolate boy of Bollywood Kartik Aaryan as well. After giving a remarkable performance in ‘Pyaar ka Punchnama’, he got his next important role as a poet Omi in ‘Chashme Badoor’. He was lauded for his astonishing performance in this film.
Dropped ‘Sharma’ from his name
In 2019, he decided to drop the surname ‘Sharma’ from his name and claimed that he did not want people to look at him as a caste-privileged guy.
Supporting roles
He also played supporting roles in the two superhit Hindi films, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ with Akshay Kumar and ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shahid Kapoor. According to him, his career took a major turn after these two movies because makers started noticing him and approaching him for projects
Was approached to play the character of Guddu Bhaiya instead of Munna Bhaiya in Mirzapur
In an interview, he revealed that he was approached to play the role of Guddu Pandit in Mirzapur whereas Ali Fazal was approached for Munna. But Ali turned down the role of Munna as it was way too violent, and the role was then played by Divyenndu and the actor created history.
Married To Long Time Girlfriend Akansha Sharma
Divyenndu tied the knot with his long-time college friend Akansha Sharma just after the release of ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. Talking about his wife, the actor said that she always supported him in every way possible even when he wasn’t financially strong.
As of now, Mirzapur season 3 is in limelight as the release of the same will be announced soon. Season three will consist of 10 episodes and each episode will be 50 minutes long as per rumors. Fans are excited to witness Munna Bhaiya in action again.
