On Tuesday, an extraordinary incident took place in Ayodhya, considered to be the day of Lord Hanuman. Security personnel stationed at the Ram Temple witnessed a monkey entering the newly constructed Ram Temple. The mention of this incident was made by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust itself.
Highlights:
- An unusual incident occurred at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Tuesday.
- Security personnel on duty observed a monkey entering the temple.
- It is suggested that it seemed as if Lord Hanuman himself had come for darshan.
It is believed that wherever the Ramayan is recited, Lord Hanuman, the ardent devotee of Lord Shri Ram, personally visits.
After a wait of 500 years, when the idol of Lord Ram was consecrated in the Ram Temple, people were eagerly looking for Hanuman Ji. The following evening, an amazing event unfolded, and it was said that Hanuman Ji had come to witness the darshan of Lord Ram.
A message related to this incident was shared on social media by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust. The message described the event as follows:
“Today, a beautiful incident occurred at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple: Around 5:50 PM, a monkey entered the sanctum sanctorum from the southern gate, made its way to the garbhagriha (inner sanctum) and reached near the festive idol. Outside, security personnel witnessed the monkey and ran towards it, fearing that the monkey might accidentally drop the festive idol on the ground. However, as soon as the police approached, the monkey calmly ran towards the northern gate. Due to the closed gate, it moved towards the eastern gate and exited without causing any inconvenience to the devotees. Security personnel say that it seems as if Lord Hanuman himself came for darshan of Lord Ram.”

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra (@ShriRamTeerth) January 23, 2024
Among the saints, there is a discussion that Hanuman Ji is the king of Ayodhya. Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita have considered him as their son. According to a story, when Lord Shri Ram handed over the kingdoms of Shraavati and Kushavati to Lav and Kush, Mother Sita said, “You have also called Hanuman your son. Make him a king somewhere. He deserves to be a king.” Then Lord Shri Ram made Hanuman the king of Ayodhya. In Hanumangarhi, the worship of Hanuman, the devotee of Lord Ram, is conducted in the same way.
While this story symbolizes Hanuman Ji’s profound devotion and dedication to Lord Shri Ram, what was witnessed in Ayodhya on Tuesday evening was truly a miracle for the people. In Ayodhya, Hanuman is considered to be a symbol of devotion, and it is quite possible that Hanuman Ji himself, in the form of these symbolic monkeys, came to see his Lord Ram in this long-awaited temple. In matters of faith, arguments are inexhaustible.
