On Monday, December 19, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, shared a post on Instagram and lashed out at a sports brand for using her picture without permission. The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress reposted the picture on her IG story posted by the brand on their social media handles and wrote,
“Hey, @pumaindia? I’m sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I’m not your ambassador.” The actress demanded the brand to take the post and wrote, “Please take it down,” along with angry emojis.

Just in a matter of a few minutes, Puma’s comment section got flooded by netizens and after reading all those comments, you will definitely wonder if this was a pre-planned marketing strategy or if she really called out the brand.
One user wrote, “Arey chill guys, it’s marketing strat,” another added, “Damn she called it out! That’s cold!”

on the other hand, a user pointed out that Anushka’s husband Virat Kohli has liked the post. He wrote,
“Virat himself liked this 😂”
A netizen also expressed that the brand achieved its goal of promotion by doing this and wrote, “Lol… Puma already made money for the past 5 hours 😂.”
Addressing Anushka as Bhabhi, an Instagram user commented, “Bhabi ne bola delete karneka matlab karneka.”
