Kerala native and mother-of-five, Naaji Nooushi drove her Mahindra Thar from India to Qatar so she could see Lionel Messi play in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Taking advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime chance was a no-brainer for her since she is a great Messi and Argentina supporter and also an obsessive driving lover. Naaji defied conventional wisdom and opted to experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Naaji posted updates during her trip from India to Qatar.
The Messi fan’s lengthy journey began in Kerala, and she initially made her way to the port in Mumbai. Having arrived in Mumbai with her Mahindra Thar, she boarded a ship to Oman. She left Muscat and made her way to Qatar. She began her journey in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and eventually made her way across the Middle Eastern desert to Salwa, Saudi Arabia. She then crossed into Qatar and made her way to Doha, the last destination of her journey.
Originally from Oman, Naaji obtained an international driving permit upon arrival in the United Arab Emirates. She documented the whole trip on YouTube and other platforms.
She decided to ride a Mahindra Thar on this one-of-a-kind journey. The Thar has gathered tremendous sales and is quickly becoming one of the most popular lifestyle off-roaders in the nation. Recently, rumours have circulated that on January 26, 2023, Mahindra would unveil the Thar with five doors.
A 5-door Thar test mule was also recently seen in full camouflage. Vehicle seemed to be in production-ready form this time. The SUV’s exterior is almost similar to the previous three-door model, except for a little lengthening to accommodate the additional two doors. The engine of the five-door sport utility vehicle The SUV will be powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo gasoline and 2.2-liter turbo diesel engines, but they will be available in a different tune than in the normal Thar.
