Entrepreneur Anand Mahindra, who is very active on Twitter, has once again come into the spotlight due to his recent tweet. Through Twitter, Mahindra has targeted Uddhav Thackeray, who as a Chief Minister has ordered to start preparations for lockdown in Maharashtra again.
Currently, the situation of Covid in Maharashtra is dire. The Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray seems to have failed miserably in bringing the situation under control. To cover up his failures, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has ordered the administration to prepare for the lockdown. Due to all of this, it is also worth noting that Chief Minister Thackeray is getting a lot of criticism. From the opposition in the state to ordinary citizens and even industrialists, all are seen criticizing Uddhav Thackeray.
The problem, @OfficeofUT ji, is that the people a lockdown hurts most are the poor, migrant workers & small businesses. The original lockdowns were essentially to buy time to build up hospital/health infrastructure. Let’s focus on resurrecting that & on avoiding mortality. https://t.co/sRoWonrJEp

What did Mahindra say?
On Monday, famous industrialist Anand Mahindra tweeted four words of understanding to Uddhav Thackeray. Sharing the news that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has ordered the preparations for the lockdown, Mahindra says, “The biggest problem of the lockdown is suffering of small industries, workers and migrant workers. The first lockdown was intended to provide time for bettering hospitals and health facilities.”
By tweeting this, Mahindra has in a way underlined how the Thackeray government has fallen short in building health facilities.
Yes and I repeat my plea that the central government should permit Maharashtra to universalise the vaccination eligibility and allow the private sector to partner in the speedy rollout of vaccinations. @PMOIndia @drharshvardhan https://t.co/y6CZksjFg2

After hitting at the Thackeray government, Mahindra appealed to the central government too. Mahindra has requested the Center to allow vaccination of all in Maharashtra without any restrictions on vaccination. At the same time, the private sector should be involved so that the vaccination process can be expedited, Mahindra said.
Meanwhile, corona cases in India are on a steep rise with country witnessing close to 70,000 cases per day. Government has ordered for the vaccination of people above 45 years of age and age groups outside that category are yet to be immunized.
