Pathaan was the highest opening weekend for a Bollywood film in India and throughout the globe, despite massive demands to boycott SRK- Shah Rukh’s film and a serious dispute over the saffron-coloured outfit Deepika Padukone wore in Besharam Rang. Additionally notable is the message it imparts: that art can overcome superficial barriers and that love can triumph over hate.
On Twitter, someone has uploaded an old video of SRK. The Bollywood actor is featured in a video posted by user @ nehruvian in which he discusses his multi-faith upbringing. The actor received his education at a Catholic school, played in Ramlilas, and was raised Muslim by his parents. He said he thought it was odd that people were getting into an argument about it, as “it’s all the same.”

The footage of the actor from an interview in 2015 just went viral. He was warning that an excessive emphasis on religion would lead to a return to the Middle Ages.
