Amitabh Bachchan quashed rumors about his health being in jeopardy, labeling them as “fake news” and putting an end to speculation about his alleged hospitalization.
Earlier in the day, various reports surfaced on social media platforms, stirring concerns among fans regarding Bachchan’s well-being, suggesting that the megastar had undergone an angioplasty procedure to address either a leg clot or a blocked artery.
However, Amitabh Bachchan, accompanied by his son Abhishek, was spotted at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane during the final match of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) between Majhi Mumbai and Tiigers of Kolkata, refuting the claims of his hospital visit.
A circulating video captured Bachchan exiting the stadium, where an inquiring individual from the crowd questioned him about his health.
Initially gesturing that all was well, Bachchan responded to the query with a succinct “Fake news.”

Reports varied throughout the day, with some suggesting a routine hospital visit to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, while others claimed an angioplasty procedure to address a leg blockage or a blocked artery.
Despite the absence of official confirmation from either the hospital or Bachchan’s office for much of the day, the hashtags #AmitabhBachchan and #KokilabenHospital trended on social media. Well-wishes poured in from fans and public figures, including Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, who expressed prayers for Bachchan’s speedy recovery.
Amitabh Bachchan’s recent cameo appearance in Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath marked his latest screen outing. Upcoming projects include the film Kalki AD 2898, starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, as well as a role alongside Rajinikanth in the Tamil film Vettaiyan.
