Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has responded empathetically to a heartfelt message posted by cricketer Shikhar Dhawan for his son, Zorawar, whom Dhawan has not seen in a year due to separation from his wife.
Akshay Kumar reposted a touching photo shared by Dhawan on Instagram, expressing his understanding as a father about the agony of being unable to meet one’s child.
Akshay urged Dhawan to keep hope alive and assured him of the collective prayers for their reunion. Kumar’s Instagram story read,
“Really moved to see this post. As a father, I know that nothing is more painful than not being able to see or meet your child. Hausla rakh Shikhar…millions of us are praying for you to meet your son soon. God bless. @shikhardofficial.”
Dhawan’s emotional note on Instagram wished his son a happy birthday and revealed his distress over not being able to meet him physically for a year. He mentioned being blocked from all virtual platforms that facilitated contact with his son due to his separation from Ayesha Mukherjee, his wife.
“It’s been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I’ve been blocked from everywhere so Posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday. Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely,”
