Akash Ambani has reassured fans that Rohit Sharma will be part of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024, putting to rest concerns raised by a supporter during the recent auction.
The Mumbai Indians, owned by India’s wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani, made headlines earlier when it was announced that Hardik Pandya would replace Rohit Sharma as the team’s captain.
Despite mixed reactions from fans over the captaincy change, one ardent supporter at the IPL 2024 auction shouted, “Rohit Sharma ko wapis lao” (Bring back Rohit Sharma), expressing the sentiments of many fans unhappy with the decision. Akash Ambani responded to the plea with a playful remark, saying,
“Chinta mat karo, wo batting karega”
