Recently, we heard about a troublesome and disturbing Pee gate incident that took place in Air India. After the pee gate now the airline lands in trouble again because of its apparent lack of food hygiene that caused a stir on the internet.
Recently, Passenger Dr. Sarvapriya Sangwan, BBC’s head for YouTube content in India found a stone in the inflight meal served on AI 215 flight that was headed for Delhi to Kathmandu.
The aggrieved passenger slammed the airlines for their gross negligence. He wrote that a crew member was immediately informed of the incident.
You don’t need resources and money to ensure stone-free food Air India (@airindiain). This is what I received in my food served in the flight AI 215 today. Crew member Ms. Jadon was informed.
This kind of negligence is unacceptable. #airIndia pic.twitter.com/L3lGxgrVbz— Sarvapriya Sangwan (@DrSarvapriya) January 8, 2023
Just like every other time, Air India promptly responded to resolve the issue and take up the matter with the catering team. The airline in a statement mentioned that they have apologized to the passenger.
Dear Ma'am, this is concerning and we're taking this up immediately with our Catering team. Please allow us some time to get back. We appreciate you brining this to our notice.

Twitter got flooded with reactions as netizens felt disgusted, while others posted their grievances with Air India and its services that haven’t been resolved in years.
One user took a dig at airlines and stated how this incident shows tough competition between Air India and IRCTC. The Indian railways are quite popular for all sorts of content passengers stumble upon in their food and beverages.
Tough competition between @airindiain & @IRCTCofficial on quality of food delivered. https://t.co/e9rFCv8Sub

Air India is in the buzz for all the wrong reasons in recent times, following the horrific pee gate incident for which DGCA issued a show cause notice.
While Airindia was supposed to compete with the best in airlines industry, it is competing with Indian railways it seems.
