Bollywood actress Adah Sharma is currently basking in the success of her latest-released The Kerala Story which has received enormous love and appreciation from viewers, fans, and critics as well. The controversial movie earned 8-crore on its opening day and it is expected to grow stronger.

Amidst numerous controversies, The Kerala Story was released in theatres on May 5. While screenings and the release have been called off in several districts of Kerala, a large number of people have still managed to watch the movie. People have expressed mixed opinions about the film, with some indicating a positive response and others suggesting that it is a propaganda film.
Adah Sharma shared a hard-hitting post for the critics
After receiving a positive response from the audience, Adah Sharma took to her social media and penned a heartfelt note for her fans. In her note, the actress thanked people for accepting the movie, giving standing ovations, and turning the show houseful. Adah tweeted:
“Standing ovation in theatres, the honorable PM mentioning our film #TheKeralaStory, critics and the audience applauding my performance, HOUSEFULL messages from so many of you, bumper opening! I could never have dreamed of so much. All your dreams for me are coming true.”
Further, Adah slammed those who are ‘still calling it a propaganda film.’ Adah wrote:
“And for the few still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film, saying these incidents do not exist even after watching testimonials of several Indian victims, my humble request, Google two words ISIS and Brides…maybe an account of white girls narrated to you might make you feel that our Indian movie is real.”

In case you don’t know, the Adah Sharma and Pranay Pachauri starrer The Kerala Story is facing backlash from several parts of Kerala. The movie has been subjected to massive controversy ever since the trailer of the movie was released.
Besides Adah Sharma, the movie also features Pranay Pachauri, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani in the leading roles. The movie is written and directed by Sudipto Sen, the film is produced by Sunshine Pictures Private Limited, founded by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

Earlier, the director Sudipto Sen reacted to the success of The Kerala Story. Sharing his views on the audience response to The Kerala Story, Sudipto said:
“When the teaser and later when the trailer of our film released, many thought it is ‘anti-Islam.’ So many jumped on and started shouting and abusing us. Now, the film is released and the same people are watching the film and the same people are showering praise on us.”
Recently, the Kerala High Court noted that the producers of the movie have published a disclaimer along with the movie which states that the movie has fictionalized and is a dramatized version of events. The Kerala high court asked the petitioners what was there in the movie that is against Islam.
