A fan questioned him about Irrfan Khan, another actor who just passed away, during a recent #AskSRK session on Twitter. What SRK said in response will make you cry.
Shah Rukh Khan and Irrfan Khan, for those unfamiliar, had a warm and cordial relationship. Two of Bollywood’s biggest stars appeared together in the 2009 comedy-drama Billu. Several other well-known actors and actresses, including Lara Dutta, Om Puri, Rasika Joshi, and others, also appeared in the film.
The film, directed by Priyadarshan, featured Irrfan’s character, a barber from a small Indian town who is trying to make ends meet despite mounting difficulties. When the locals learn that an actor with whom he formerly worked is visiting, things start looking up for him.
There will never be another actor like Irrfan Khan, and his death in April 2020 was a huge blow to the Indian cinema industry. A colon infection was something the famous actor had been dealing with for quite some time. Irrfan is well-known in both Bollywood and Hollywood because of his adaptability as an actor, his fresh take on each job, and his undeniable charisma on film.
His superb characterization of characters and delivery of speech won him critical recognition and a large fan base. Life of Pi, The Lunchbox, Inferno, Piku, Angrezi Medium, and The Namesake are just a few of his most well-known works.
Even back then, Shah Rukh Khan was open about the loss of a dear friend. The finest actor of his time, he said in a Twitter tribute, expressing his condolences.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is busy shooting “Jawan,” Atlee’s forthcoming directorial attempt, with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. The film is now in the post-production process and is scheduled for a June 2, 2023 release date. There will be a wide range of language options for moviegoers, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The actor will also be seen in the next film “Dunki,” directed by Rajkumar Hirani, with Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani.
