Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s heart-touching response to a condolence letter written by a class 2 student on his late mother Heeraben is going viral on social media.
The letter was shared by Bhartiya Janta Party’s (BJP) Khushbu Sundar on Twitter. It has been written by a class 2 student from Bangalore.
PM Modi’s mother Late Heeraben Modi used to live with his younger brother, Pankaj Modi, at Raysan village near Gandhinagar, Ahemdabad. Modi Ji used to visit Raysan and spend time with his mother frequently during his Gujarat visits. She passed away at 99 in Ahmedabad on 30 December 2022.

The tweet shared by BJP’s Khushbu Sundar read,

Aarush Srivastava, a class 2 student, wrote heartfelt letter to Prime Minister Modi on the same day as Prime Minister Modi’s mother Heeraba passed away dated December 30, 2022. The student requested him to accept his heartfelt condolences.
She wrote in the letter,
“I felt very sad to see on TV that your beloved mother Smt Heera Ben aged 100 years passed away today. Please accept my heartfelt condolences,” he wrote. “I pray for her soul to rest at the noble feet of almighty God.”
Responding to Aarush’s letter on January 25, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote,
“My gratitude for your heartfelt condolences on the passing away of my mother,” he wrote. “Mother’s demise is an irreparable loss and its pain is beyond words. I thank you for including me in your thoughts and prayers.”
PM Modi mentioned that such gestures deliver him the strength and courage to bear the loss.
He added,
“I once again thank you for the heartfelt condolences”
