The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Golden Visa program has provided long-term residency options to a number of Bollywood superstars. This means they may work, reside, and visit the Gulf state without completing reams of bureaucratic red tape.
The United Arab Emirates introduced a permanent residency program in 2019 that gives foreigners the right to live, work, and study in the country while retaining full control over their businesses and assets without the requirement for a local sponsor. Whereas the “Kafala” sponsorship system often only allows for temporary residency permits for foreigners, this program is the first of its sort in the Gulf.
This visa, which was developed to entice outside investment and to recruit the world’s greatest professionals in a wide range of fields to the nation, is valid for a full decade and is automatically renewed every decade for as long as the applicant continues to match the criteria.
