Kartik Aaryan recently grabbed attention when he gave a fitting reply to a netizen who called him a replacement star. Well, the chocolate boy of Bollywood is again in limelight because of his remarks on the North vs South.
The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star said that people only talked about the hits that were delivered rather than flops when it comes to the south Indian film industry.
On the other hand, Kartik even mentioned that even Bollywood delivered its fair share of hits including Drishyam 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Kartik Aaryan further opinionized that there is no Bollywood or South Indian film industry but rather one large Industry named the Indian cinema.
In a recent interview, Aaryan talked about the North vs South debate and said,
“It’s all about good films working. It’s an Indian film that works or does not work. This discussion has been going on for a long time and now the lines have become blurred. Drishyam 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 did great numbers.”
He added,
“They do not talk about the films that do not work, but in this North vs South, they highlight only those that worked. Chaar filmein hongi jo Chali hongi actual mein.. (there must be only four films that would have worked), but they highlight as if it’s a race going on.”
Well, his statement may trigger some people and it may heat the controversy furthermore.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan is currently gearing up for the release of his thriller/drama film Freddy and was last seen in the movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The movie received mixed reviews but was a box office success and one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of 2022. He is also rumored to be part of Hera Pheri 3 as a replacement for Akshay Kumar and for the same reason he faced criticism on the internet.
