Even though this flick didn’t really cast Shahrukh Khan as the main character but he played an instrumental role of Amjad Ali Khan, Saket Ram’s friend. The movie shows how Shahrukh averts a catastrophe by altering the mindset of the protagonist of the movie where vengeance drove him crazy and he was on his way to assassinate Gandhi.

#7 Veer Zara
The movie narrates the tale of love between an Indian Air Force officer and a Pakistan girl where unwanted complications steal 20 years of Veer’s life as Pakistan imprisoned him with the charges of being an Indian spy. During his incarceration period, Veer is believed to be dead by Zara but after a long fight with law, a young Muslim lawyer eventually proves to be the pivotal point as he proves Veer’s innocence and eventually helps in reuniting the two lovers.

#8 Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa
This is a story of how Shahrukh like a jilted lover wants to do everything in power to eventually create a rift between two love birds but at the end of the day is being spotted and being cast as a villain that changes to a narrative of someone redeeming himself and eventually walking the path of acceptance where at times you will have to face rejection and accept it at the end of the day.

#9 Darr
This is one of those rare movies where he plays the role of an antagonist and this was in his early days. He nails the role to perfection where his desire for the girl drives him crazy and eventually the lines between wrong and right tends to blur as love takes a front seat but in a frenetic fashion.

In another role of a negative character, Shahrukh rides on a journey of vengeance where he eventually will do anything to seek justice and ends up committing the first murder and will very well be en route to a second when the strings start to get pull harder than ever and eventually the unravelling happens.
