The movie narrates the tale of love between an Indian Air Force officer and a Pakistan girl where unwanted complications steal 20 years of Veer’s life as Pakistan imprisoned him with the charges of being an Indian spy. During his incarceration period, Veer is believed to be dead by Zara but after a long fight with law, a young Muslim lawyer eventually proves to be the pivotal point as he proves Veer’s innocence and eventually helps in reuniting the two lovers.

This is a story of how Shahrukh like a jilted lover wants to do everything in power to eventually create a rift between two love birds but at the end of the day is being spotted and being cast as a villain that changes to a narrative of someone redeeming himself and eventually walking the path of acceptance where at times you will have to face rejection and accept it at the end of the day.

This is one of those rare movies where he plays the role of an antagonist and this was in his early days.
