Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has entered marital bliss with Mexican entrepreneur Grecia Munoz. The union between the two occurred over a month ago. Munoz, originally from Mexico, has transitioned from her previous career as a model to establish her startup focusing on luxury consumer goods.
Reportedly, Deepinder Goyal and Grecia Munoz returned from their honeymoon in February. Munoz, expressing her cultural adaptability, states on her Instagram profile that she was born in Mexico but now feels at home in India.
This marks Deepinder Goyal’s second marriage, having previously been wed to Kanchan Joshi, whom he met during his time at IIT-Delhi.
In January, Munoz shared moments from her explorations in Delhi, referring to it as her “new home” and showcasing visits to prominent landmarks like the Red Fort.
Grecia Munoz’s insta bio said she is “now at home in India”.
“Glimpses of my new life at my new home,” wrote Munoz, who recently launched a startup that deals in luxury consumer products.
This marks the second marriage for Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal. His prior union was with Kanchan Joshi, whom he encountered during his academic years at IIT-Delhi. In an interview with Forbes India, Deepinder disclosed, “I chased her for six months,” reminiscing about his courtship with his first wife, Kanchan Joshi.
Their initial acquaintance occurred at IIT Delhi, where they both pursued studies in the mathematics and computing department. Joshi was enrolled in an MSc program in Mathematics, and their paths often crossed in laboratory settings. Goyal shared that he spent time with her in the hopes of fostering a connection. The couple tied the knot in 2007.
Deepinder Goyal, aged 41, is not only the CEO but also the founder of Zomato, a leading food delivery platform headquartered in Gurugram. Originating from humble beginnings in 2008 with the establishment of Foodiebay in his apartment, Zomato has burgeoned into a dominant force in food delivery, serving over 1,000 cities across India.
However, Zomato recently faced criticism for its introduction of a ‘pure veg’ delivery fleet, marked by green uniforms, exclusively catering to vegetarian food.
Update on our pure veg fleet —
While we are going to continue to have a fleet for vegetarians, we have decided to remove the on-ground segregation of this fleet on the ground using the colour green. All our riders — both our regular fleet, and our fleet for vegetarians, will…

This decision was met with strong opposition on social media, leading to its swift retraction, as Goyal acknowledged the potential risks it posed to the safety of their delivery staff.
