An old video of Virat Kohli has surfaced again on social media, capturing the hearts of fans. The video is from a warm-up match between Rohit Sharma’s India and Leicestershire at Grace Road, when the former captain Virat Kohli had a heated exchange with a fan in the stands on Day 2.
Virat Kohli noticed some fans mocking young Indian pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti while he was warming up near the boundary line during Leicestershire’s innings.
When Angry Virat Kohli Slammed A Group Of Fans For Abusing Kamlesh Nagarkoti
Welll, the viral video suggests that the fans wanted to take a photo with Nagarkoti, who declined their request. In response, they started abusing and behaving disrespectfully towards him. Some fans even argued with Kohli and tried to justify their behavior, but the former Indian captain didn’t tolerate it.
Kohli later went up to the dressing room balcony to support the pacer and got into a heated argument with the fan. The fan defended himself, saying he just wanted a photo with the youngster.
“Kab se bula rha hoon, photo he nahi khicha raha. Mai meri job choddh ke yaha aaya hoon. Kam se kam photo to khichwana chahiye. Nagarkoti ko bula raha hoon”
(which roughly translates to: I’ve been calling him for so long but he isn’t getting a photograph clicked with me. I have skipped my job to reach here. He should at least get a photo clicked. I am calling Nagarkoti.”) the fan is heard in a video doing the rounds on social media.
Meanwhile, Kohli was irked with the tone of the fan and how the fans were earlier teasing Nagarkoti. He was quick to take a stand for his teammate. He replied:
“Match khelne aaya hai ya photo khichwane aaya hai”
(which roughly translates to: Has he come to play or get photographs clicked?“)

This isn’t the first time that Kohli has taken a stand against the wrong. Virat has a reputation for standing up for his teammates and opposition players and expressing his emotions openly. He doesn’t hesitate to address situations where he believes boundaries have been crossed, and that’s exactly what he did in this instance.
