Fans are speculating that Kangana Ranaut has once again targeted Alia Bhatt, as a video clip of Kangana apparently mocking a “nepo kid” for receiving awards that Kangana herself has in abundance is circulating on Reddit. Many believe that this was aimed at Alia Bhatt, particularly in reference to her National Award for Best Actress for the movie Gangubai Kathiawadi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

At the Times Now Summit, Kangana Ranaut, who is currently contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi on a BJP ticket, was questioned about her opinions regarding Rahul Gandhi. She said:
“Main unhe waise hee dekhti hu jaise film industry ka ‘raja beta’. Jaise waha unhone beti ko awards de diye. Ke kangana ko saare awards mil gaye, mujhe bhi chahiye. Ab ki baar saare awards unhi ko do. Naraz ho gayi hai yeh (which roughly translates to: I see him as just another industry insider, like a pampered child of the film industry. It’s like he’s given awards to his daughter. Kangana has received too many awards, I should get them too. This time, give all the awards to her. She is upset about it).”
On being asked if anyone from Bollywood wished her as she embarks on her political career, Kangana responded:
“Aisa nahi hai. Bollywood se bhi log mere liye khush hai. Yeh baat alag hai ke hum jo rashtravadi log hain, hum 10-15 saal pehle shuru kiya hai. Lekin jo nepo mafia hai, unka achha khasa setup hai. Toh woh log humein dabane mein kamiyab ho jaate hai (which roughly translates to: It’s not like that. People from Bollywood are also happy with me joining politics. The thing is – we nationalist people – we have come up in the last 10-15 years and the nepo mafia has had a good setup for many years now. So, they succeed in suppressing us).”
