Akshay Kumar has doled out a video on his Twitter account that urged the fans to make donations towards the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya.
This video that was shared on his official Twitter handle was shot at his home, where he quoted the story from the epic Ramayana to galvanize fans into making donations for the astronomical edifice on the heart of Ayodhya.
He started his speech by saying that on the last night, he narrated a story to his daughter, Nitara, that told of a squirrel who wished to make her modicum of contribution in the construction of Ram Setu so that Lord Ram can reach Lanka and challenge the might of Ravana. The actor said that his story must egg everyone on to make whatever small contributions they can make towards the construction of the temple.

He quoted on the video saying, “Today, it is our turn. In Ayodhya, a large temple is being made for Lord Shri Ram. Some of us should be the vaanars, some of us should be the gilheris, and make contributions that suit our capacity to this historical cause. I will be the one to begin. I am sure you will join me too so that the generations that will come after us will be inspired to follow life lessons that the righteous Lord Ram taught us”.
He also said, “It is heartening to know that the construction of our Sri Ram’s magnificent temple in Ayodhya has begun… Now it is our turn to make contributions. I have started, hopefully you will also join with. Jai Shri Ram.”
President Ramnath Kovind also contributed Rs 5,00,100 to the construction of his structure. The fund collection will be spanning across 5,25,000 villages and the money that will be collected will have to be deposited within 48 hours in the bank.
The collection drive has started on January 15th and will end by February 27th.
On the professional front, he was last seen in Laxxmi and his upcoming projects are Bell Bottom, Sooryavanshi, Bachchan Pandey and Atrangi Re.
Twitter didn’t really react entirely positively on this latest tweet of his. There were mixed bag reactions and we will take a quick look at the same.
