Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan aka SRK showcased his wit during a recent #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter), responding to a fan’s intriguing question about the disparity between the first-day collection of ‘Dunki’ and Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc’s auction price.
In the online session, a curious fan asked,
“Dunki ki first day collection aur Mitchell Starc ke auction price me kitna difference hoga? #AskSRK” (Translation: What will be the difference between Dunki’s first-day collection and Mitchell Starc’s auction price?)
Shah Rukh playfully replied,
“Yeh ku sawaal hai bhai. Chalo and Cheese wala. Dunki me aayega wahan to gaya hai bas!! Ha ha #DunkiTomorrow,” translating to, “Why this question, brother? Let’s keep it light. If it’s there in Dunki, it’s gone there!! Ha ha #DunkiTomorrow.”

Mitchell Starc, the Australian pacer, had fetched a staggering Rs 24.75 crores in the IPL auction, making him one of the most expensive players in the history of the Indian Premier League. The amusing exchange occurred as SRK engaged with fans ahead of the release of ‘Dunki.’
Another fan posed a query about SRK’s favorite character among those he portrayed in his 2023 releases. The fan asked,
“Sir Pathaan, Azad, Vikram Rathore or Hardy which is Your Favourite character played by you this year? #AskSRK.”
To this, Shah Rukh replied,
“My favourite character is the one that audience likes. So I hope you like Hardy as much as the others…he is a noble soul. An army officer and a lover. #DunkiTomorrow.”
Responding to a different question about his experience of sitting in a classroom again and playing a student in ‘Dunki,’ SRK humorously shared, ”
Yet again got all the answers wrong and was reprimanded by the teacher for sleeping in the class!! #DunkiTomorrow.”
‘Dunki’ boasts an ensemble cast featuring Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Shah Rukh Khan. The film, a JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation, is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan.
