Siddharth Anand’s film “Fighter” featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone hasn’t performed well at the box office. In eight days, it earned Rs. 146.50 crore, which is considered low for a movie with a large budget. Despite a decent start and a boost on Republic Day, the film faced a decline in collections, especially after Monday.
Siddharth Anand Is Getting Trolled For His Bizarre Claim
In a recent interview, Siddharth Anand discussed why his film didn’t have a strong start at the box office. However, a statement he made during the conversation has led to trolling on social media. He said, “If you realise, there’s a huge percentage of our country; I would say 90%, who have not flown in planes and have not been to airports. So, how do you expect them to know what’s happening in the air? It’s my dissection, so they felt that this is a little alien.”
He added: “How many percentage of our population has a passport and how many of them have actually travelled in a plane? So, when you are talking about plane’s action, they have not understood what is the acceleration they are supposed to feel in the action. What is supposed to happen?,”
Siddharth Anand is now receiving backlash for his statement on the box office performance of “Fighter.” An X user wrote, “Fighter movie’s director says his film didn’t do well because 90% of Indians hasn’t experienced airports or air travel, so they couldn’t relate to his film. Oppenheimer worked because 90% of Indians are into nuclear physics, Ek Tha Tiger worked because 90% of Indians are RAW agents. Jurassic Park worked because 90% of Indians keep dinosaurs as pets. Avatar worked because 90% of Indians live underwater after painting themselves blue.”

This is what happens when you cheaply imitate TOP GUN franchise.
The bollywood is still stuck with stars. TOP GUN has just one main lead.
And also, probably the only franchise whose sequel is better than the first

Animal Film was a blockbuster because 90% people wake up in the morning and shoot 100s of people with a large machine gun.
