Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik Chakraborty, attended the wedding reception of Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan, and her boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare.
The grand event, held at the BKC Jio Centre on Saturday, was attended by various Bollywood personalities.
Dressed in a beautiful beige saree, Rhea posed with her brother on the green carpet.
However, a paparazzo mistakenly commented,
“Nice jodi” (nice couple),
prompting another to correct the error. Expressing her displeasure, Rhea remarked,
“Aise hee logo ke wajah se rumours shuru hotey hain”
(It’s because of such people that rumors start).

In a recent candid conversation on the chat show “Deeptalk With Chetan Bhagat,” Rhea, who had previously faced legal issues in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, shared an interesting anecdote from her time in jail. Despite her brother not being granted bail alongside her, Rhea fulfilled a promise to entertain fellow inmates with a ‘Naagin’ dance.

She narrated,
“The jailer came up to me and said, ‘I have told them that you won’t dance.’ But I told the jailer, ‘I want to [dance] for them because when am I going to see these women again?'”
The actress performed a lively dance on the floor, and others joined in, expressing happiness for her impending release.
Rhea Chakraborty had faced legal troubles in September 2020 when she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The actor had passed away in June 2020, and Rhea spent 28 days in jail before being granted bail. Despite the challenges, Rhea continues to attend social events and recently made an appearance at Ira Khan’s wedding reception.
The actress, known for her resilience, also shared her experience of dancing in jail during a difficult time. Despite the controversies surrounding her, Rhea remains a prominent figure in Bollywood, attending events and staying connected with the industry.
