Sir Rajnikanth’s original name was Shivaji Rao Gaikwad. He used to work as a bus conductor before getting into film industry and it was the director K Balachander who rebaptized him. His film Sivaji The Boss was actually him reflecting on to times of yore.

Kiara Advani

The Bollywood Diva’s actual name is Alia but she decided to replace it as Kiara because at the time of her debut, Alia Bhatt was already at peak of her career so to avoid any confusion , the actress preferred changing her name to Kiara. Her Instagram user name is still “Kiara Alia Advani”.

Tabu

The multiskilled actress was asked to  shorten  her name from Tabassum Hashmi Khan to Tabu.

The “Ragini MMS 2” actress’s  actual name is Karenjit Kaur Vohra, but later she Americanized it to Sunny Leone due to  remunerative industry she worked in.

The actual name of Akshay aka Khilaadi  is Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia. Promod Chakravorty , director of his first movie “ Deedar” later changed it to Akshay Kumar probably because he thought his name lacked secularism.
