Munawar Faruqui clinched the title of ‘Bigg Boss 17’ on January 28, emerging as the winner of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show.
Following his triumph, he granted an interview to respond to allegations of being a ‘fixed winner’ in the competition.
Abhishek Kumar secured the position of the first runner-up in the show. Munawar, who received a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a new car, shared insights into his journey and reactions to the perceptions surrounding his victory.
Despite being a front-runner throughout the season, some viewers believed that Munawar’s victory was predetermined by the show’s producers due to his popularity.
Addressing the accusations of being a ‘fixed winner,’ Munawar stated,
Main nahi janta “I don’t know. I always thought I had a 50-50 chance, as Abhishek equally deserved this win. This tag only sounds very fixed,”
he remarked with a hint of humor.
He attributed his success to the audience’s love and support, acknowledging that while he made mistakes and faced judgment, the positive deeds in the real world garnered him affection from fans. Expressing gratitude, he said,
“I know I made some mistakes and I had to bear the brunt of the same. I was also judged for it. However, in the real world, I have done some good deeds, and because of this, I have gained love from fans. It is their good wishes and support that have helped me come so far. I am so thankful to them,”

The comedian thanked his followers, describing the trophy as a weighty symbol of his accomplishments.
“This was more than a deja-vu moment for me. Of course, I entered the show intending to win, but there was a lot of baggage that I was carrying. And now, when I reflect on my journey, this trophy feels quite heavy. Fortunately, I had strong shoulders and hence I could carry the weight and bring home the trophy.”
